Unit price calculator (price per 100 g, per piece)
Compare products of different sizes or pack counts by price per 100 g, per 100 mL or per piece, and see which one is the better deal.
How to use
- Enter the price and size of each product and choose the unit (g, kg, mL, L or pcs).
- For multipacks, enter the number of items in "Pack of". For 6 bottles of 500 mL, enter a size of 500 mL and Pack of 6.
- The price per 100 g (or per 100 mL, or per piece) is shown for each item, and the cheapest is marked "Best value".
Notes and limits
- Weight (g, kg) and volume (mL, L) cannot be compared, because the density of products differs. Ounces, pounds and other imperial units are not supported.
- Prices are plain numbers in any currency. Make sure all prices are in the same currency and either all include or all exclude tax.
- Unit prices are shown with two decimals, or up to four when below 1, so small differences stay visible.
How it works
Unit price = price ÷ (size × pack count) × 100 for the price per 100 g or 100 mL. Sizes in kg and L are converted to g and mL first. For pieces, the price is per piece.
"% more expensive" is measured against the cheapest unit price.
FAQ
Is the bigger pack always cheaper?
No. Sales, coupons or trial sizes can make a smaller pack cheaper per unit. Compare the unit prices to be sure.
Can I compare toilet paper or tissues?
Yes. Choose "pcs" and enter the number of sheets, rolls or meters as the size. Use the same measure for every product.
Is anything I enter saved?
No. The comparison runs in your browser and nothing is sent or stored.
